Today is April 29, 2017 -
HJC is the proud recipient of a $10,000.00 grant from the UJA – Federation of New York to help support interfaith family programming in our community. For a list of HJC Interfaith Family Events, click here http://hjcny.org/?p=5146
The funds from this grant will be used, in part, as the impetus for “J on Main”, a community-based initiative geared toward reaching out to interfaith families through low-barrier programming and allowing Huntingtonians – Jewish, non-Jewish and those raising Jewish children to find the very best of what HJC has to offer within reach at the cultural centers and businesses right in the heart of Huntington Village. “This grant provides us with a really exciting opportunity to use the resources of the village of Huntington to reach out to interfaith and/or unaffiliated families in town by going to them instead of having them come to us. It should be a lot of fun to take advantage of so many of the local businesses here in town and we hope that this is just the beginning of making an impact for the synagogue and its standing within the larger community”, says Cantor Israel Gordan, Director of Synagogue Programming & Religious School Innovation.
We invite you to join us for a full calendar of exciting and family-fun programming throughout the Spring and Summer 2015! All events are free of charge so space is limited! Kindly RSVP to Janis Solotoff at firstname.lastname@example.org or 516-316-9566.
