HiHi Supply Drive

Once again HJC will participate in the HIHI program. HIHI stands for Huntington Interfaith Homeless Initiative. It is a program run by the Family Service League involving different congregations who provide food for a group of local homeless men.

Pre-pandemic the congregations, including HJC took turns housing the men overnight and providing warm meals and other sources of comfort, which was a large undertaking. Currently the men will be staying in a local motel for the winter months. We are responsible for providing meals and gift cards to local fast food restaurants.

We will be providing food and gift cards for about 8 days from December 1 to March 31 as we share Wednesdays with Temple Beth El and East Northport Jewish Center. We also often collect winter clothes.
