Huntington Interfaith Homeless Initiative (HIHI)

This winter, HJC will again participate in the HIHI program. HIHI stands for Huntington Interfaith Homeless Initiative which is a Family Service League program. From December 1 until March 31, religious congregations in the Huntington area provide shelter, food and clothing for a group of homeless men. This year, we will be hosting for 9 nights. There are a variety of activities and support roles for adults and children 5th grade and older. We will be hosting on the following Wednesday nights:  January 22, February 12, 26, March 4, 11, 18, 25. Donations of gently used men’s jeans, sweatshirts, coats, hats, gloves, scarves and warm long-sleeved shirts are greatly appreciated. Other needed items include new socks, boxers and T-shirts
